Help to Make Things BettER Survey
East Riding Voluntary Action Services (ERVAS) Ltd are carrying out a survey across the area to find out what things could make a positive difference to people living and working in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

This will help us to make sure that our current services and resources are being used in the best way possible, and also may help us to bring in additional funding to meet the needs that you tell us about.

Therefore it would be very much appreciated if you could complete the following 4 questions by the 15th July 2019.

Natwest Friends Against Scams & Digital Safety Training

NatWest Community Banker Amanda Smith, will be providing practical and impartial guidance on how to keep yourself safe from scams through the Friends against scams training programme. The sessions will include a look at a wide range of different scams including how to spot and avoid them.
We have various dates coming up for the Beverley, Pocklington and Withernsea areas over the coming months.

Social Media Training

Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. Upon successful completion of this qualification, candidates will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations.

Applying for a Funding Bid

As part of this course, our HR & Funding Manager will provide you with all the information you need to apply for a funding bid to support your organisation or projects.

Budgeting for a Funding Bid Training

This course will teach you how to create budgets for use within a funding bid. If you are applying for funding for your organisation or projects, and need to know what to include in your budget and how to display it, this course is for you.

Cancer Champions Training Session

The aim of the Cancer Champion programme is to raise awareness of the early signs and symptoms of cancer, promote the national screening programmes and early detection.  Early detection saves lives, it matters!

Grant Availability and Funding Application Workshop

Funders both large and small will be on hand to provide you with practical advice on drafting and submitting  applications for grants and funds.

The event will take place at The Deep business centre between 9:30am and 12:30pm on Tuesday 18th June 2019. Free parking is available at the venue.

Social Value Workshop

  • Social Value Roadshow– The roadshow will give an overview of the wider international and national contexts, as well as the local partners’ knowledge of Lincoln and the surrounding areas. We will look at what social value is, why it is important to you, and how to take action. Social Value UK and Rose Regeneration will bring sector specific knowledge to guide attendees from public, private and civil society in how to navigate the social value landscape.
  • Local Networking– This is an opportunity for networking with local organisations from across all sectors, to share problems, opportunities, skills and resources from a local perspective.
  • Inspiring Impact– This is a VCS focused workshop looking at impact management with practical exercises, case studies, and tools that can be taken back to be used in attendees’ work and organisations

Jacob's Well Appeal Charity Sale

Join us at Toll Gavel Church Drive, Beverley, HU17 9AA on Saturday 22nd June from 9:00am to 3:00pm at our Charity Sale event.

We will be selling all sorts of bargains like books, DVDs, Clothes and we will also have a tombola with some fancy prizes to be won.

Pride Prom

Pride Prom 2019 is an event for LGBT+ young people from Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire, to celebrate the end of school with a prom they can attend, presenting how they like and with who they like.

This is a free event but if you are able, any donations made will be gratefully received and go directly to the event.

This event is for young people in the equivalent to school years 11,12 and 13.
