East Riding Voluntary Action Services (ERVAS) Ltd are carrying out a survey across the area to find out what things could make a positive difference to people living and working in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
This will help us to make sure that our current services and resources are being used in the best way possible, and also may help us to bring in additional funding to meet the needs that you tell us about.

Natwest Friends Against Scams & Digital Safety Training
NatWest Community Banker Amanda Smith, will be providing practical and impartial guidance on how to keep yourself safe from scams through the Friends against scams training programme. The sessions will include a look at a wide range of different scams including how to spot and avoid them.
We have various dates coming up for the Beverley, Pocklington and Withernsea areas over the coming months.

Applying for a Funding Bid
As part of this course, our HR & Funding Manager will provide you with all the information you need to apply for a funding bid to support your organisation or projects.
This course will teach you how to create budgets for use within a funding bid. If you are applying for funding for your organisation or projects, and need to know what to include in your budget and how to display it, this course is for you.
The aim of the Cancer Champion programme is to raise awareness of the early signs and symptoms of cancer, promote the national screening programmes and early detection. Early detection saves lives, it matters!

Grant Availability and Funding Application Workshop
Funders both large and small will be on hand to provide you with practical advice on drafting and submitting applications for grants and funds.
The event will take place at The Deep business centre between 9:30am and 12:30pm on Tuesday 18th June 2019. Free parking is available at the venue. Find out more.
Social Value Workshop
Social Value Roadshow– The roadshow will give an overview of the wider international and national contexts, as well as the local partners’ knowledge of Lincoln and the surrounding areas. We will look at what social value is, why it is important to you, and how to take action. Social Value UK and Rose Regeneration will bring sector specific knowledge to guide attendees from public, private and civil society in how to navigate the social value landscape.
Local Networking– This is an opportunity for networking with local organisations from across all sectors, to share problems, opportunities, skills and resources from a local perspective.
Inspiring Impact– This is a VCS focused workshop looking at impact management with practical exercises, case studies, and tools that can be taken back to be used in attendees’ work and organisations
Pride Prom 2019 is an event for LGBT+ young people from Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire, to celebrate the end of school with a prom they can attend, presenting how they like and with who they like.
This is a free event but if you are able, any donations made will be gratefully received and go directly to the event.
This event is for young people in the equivalent to school years 11,12 and 13. Find out more.
