Help to Make Things BettER Survey
East Riding Voluntary Action Services (ERVAS) Ltd are carrying out a survey across the area to find out what things could make a positive difference to people living and working in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

This will help us to make sure that our current services and resources are being used in the best way possible, and also may help us to bring in additional funding to meet the needs that you tell us about.

Therefore it would be very much appreciated if you could complete the following 4 questions by the 15th July 2019.

Events & Training

Financial Modelling Workshop 
26 March 2019 - 9.30 am to 3.30pm 
Britannia Royal Hotel, 170 Ferensway, Hull HU1 3UF 
This full day workshop will cover a number of key financial issues project applicants will need to consider before applying for ESIF funding. 
The event will cover ESIF funding models in relation to ESF and ERDF including category of region and general principles with delegate activities to help apply these in practice.   

An Introduction to Funding - 2nd to 3rd April and 9th to 10th April
Carol Ideson provides a comprehensive and professional bid writing service to charities, schools and not-for-profit organisations across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire using her extensive experience and success in producing funding applications to Trusts, Foundations, and Charities, Big Lottery, European Funding and contract tenders.

The Course will cover;

  • Type of funding – What are the different types of funding available?
  • Funder’s eligibility – What is the criteria they look for and are you eligible?
  • Funding applications – What are the different types of funding?
  • Searching for funding – How do you find the funding you want, where to look and how to keep informed.
  • Applications – What are the different types of application processes and what should a good application include?
  • Application content – What will applications ask and where can you get the information needed?
  • Research and evidence – How and where to research?
  • Supporting documents – What are these?
  • Budgets – What does good budget look like?
  • Case studies and funding application examples

Roos Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund - Deadline 1st April
RES, the British independent renewable energy company that developed the nine turbine wind farm,  has established a Community Fund  to provide £36,000 per year (index linked) to support local community projects during the lifetime of the wind farm. 
Completed applications to the Fund must demonstrate that their activities will benefit the communities living and working within 5km of Roos Post Office. This area includes the parishes of Burton Pidsea, Rimswell, Halsham and Roos.



Routh Wind Farm Community Fund - Deadline: 31st March 2019
POTENTIAL FUNDING for: Charitable, Educational, Community, Energy Efficiency and Environmental Activities and
Community Amenities in the East Riding of Yorkshire with a preference for applications for projects within the proximity of the wind farm.

R-Evolution Programme

Horticultural Skills
Teaches trainees a broad range of horticultural skills including working on
formal gardens, allotment sites and nature walks. The public gardens will
be open to the community, allowing the trainees to share their successes.

Bike Maintenance 
Teaches trainees to service, repair and build a variety of cycles. A large
majority of the bikes produced, are then donated to children in schools.
 
Life Coaching Skills
Life coaching is a part of all our programmes. It helps people identify and
work towards realistic goals, increasing confidence, self esteem and
employability
