ERVAS was granted funding from The National Lottery Community Fund’s ‘Awards for All’ stream to undertake a six month feasibility study to explore what ERVAS could do within its own aims and objectives, in order to help develop local services that effectively met the needs of the diverse communities within East Riding.
This study commenced on 1st April 2019 and the report was completed on 31st August 2019. A variety of research methodologies were employed, including a survey that could be completed both online and in hard copy, which was distributed widely across the area using a variety of media, along with a number of face to face focus groups and consultation events that were held for local services, as well as young people and members of the community. Altogether ERVAS collated over 1,500 responses to several key questions across the whole of East Riding, which were then divided into 8 locality areas.
This report highlights the findings from the study and includes key themes that were viewed as making a significant positive difference to the lives of people living within the community and the VCS services, as well as what already works well and how people could be involved in making a positive difference themselves. To conclude, there are a number of recommendations identified for future steps. Please follow the link below to read more from this report.
