East Riding Voluntary Action Services (ERVAS) Ltd, in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Hull City Council and the Local Safeguarding Boards, offers additional support to all Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) groups and organizations working with children, young people and vulnerable adults, in order to ensure they have in place appropriate policies and procedures in order to meet their safeguarding responsibilities.
ERVAS offers a range of support to VCS and some independent groups in regard to developing safeguarding policies and procedures, as well as access to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks (formerly CRB checks), processed on line at a competitive rate, a variety of policy templates and links to reputable insurance brokers who specialise in voluntary youth activity.
ERVAS will also provide groups with the following –
- Access to a range of appropriate safeguarding related training
- Regular information from a variety of safeguarding sources via e-bulletin, social media
- Access to Information events and conferences regarding safeguarding
- Possible partnership developments
- Membership of various networks
If your group or organization does not have all the essential criteria in place, we are more than happy to send you our toolkit containing all safeguarding children and vulnerable adult policy documents and accompanying information, or we can arrange a one to one visit with your group if you would prefer.
