Salary: £12.85 per hour + 10.6% pension contribution
Status: Average 5.5 hours per week, however this is flexible across the duration of the project, but will include weekends and school holidays
Fixed Term: 1st April 2021 – 30th September 2021 (6 months)
- 25 days annual leave + public holidays pro rata
- Employers pension contribution 10.6%
Area: Beverley and Driffield (East Riding of Yorkshire)
To deliver the Volunteen Green Warriors project within Beverley, Driffield and surrounding area, which aims to improve access to community growing, gardening and eco projects for young people aged 10 – 25 years old, so they can engage in social action and improve their confidence, self-esteem and future education and employability prospects.
The Volunteen Green Warriors project will connect young people with nature using youth social action to increase their understanding of the importance of improving their environment, transform wasteland and grow local produce to be donated to food banks/community services. Our plan is to work and plant the space using only Eco-friendly methods, with special emphasis on increasing diversity of visiting pollinators and other wildlife.
