Young People Count Annual General Meeting
April 29, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Pocklington youth charity, YPC, has announced the date of its seventh Annual General Meeting.
It will take place on Zoom on Thursday 29th April 2021 at 6pm and it is open to the public. It comes as YPC prepares to face its biggest moment since being launched as a charity in 2013. The organisation is opening its first dedicated youth building in the next few weeks at Railway Street in the centre of Pocklington.
In the last few months, the public have responded to an appeal to join YPC as potential trustees, to steer the management of the charity, and they are due to be officially elected into those roles at the AGM. More potential volunteers have come forward to help staff the new facility and run activities.
Claire Reading, Chair of the Trustees, says: “I’m so pleased to see such enthusiasm for our work with young people in Pocklington and it’s very exciting to be opening the new building – an investment in the next generation. We have also had so much interest from many local people to volunteer in other ways as we prepare to launch services at Railway Street.”
The AGM will also receive and approve the charity’s Annual Report for 2019-20 and financial statement.
The meeting will start at 6pm. Anyone interested in participating and finding out more about YPC can contact Project Manager Tony Barker, projects@ypcount.org.uk, for the login details.
General information about YPC can also be found at ypcount.org.uk, or see the charity on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
