Multiple Exclusion Homelessness: a Safeguarding Toolkit for Practitioners

In 2020 the prototype of this Toolkit was launched, inviting feedback from practitioners using it in their work. The finalised Toolkit being launched today builds on this learning.

This Toolkit is a collaboration by practitioners, researchers, independent safeguarding adult consultants, legal experts and people with lived experience. It supports fact finding, thinking, communication, and decision-making when there are safeguarding concerns about a person experiencing multiple exclusion homelessness (MEH) and offers expert guidance and resources to assist this process and to aid working across multi-disciplinary teams or services. This webinar will offer an in-depth introduction to using the Toolkit.

Presenter:

Bruno Ornelas is Head of Homelessness at Concrete and an Independent Adult Safeguarding Consultant and led the development of the Toolkit. He has authored safeguarding adult reviews and developed partnerships to ensure greater emphasis on multi-agency practice, prevention, and legally literate decision-making. He holds independent advisory roles, delivers training and participates in strategic work and in research on safeguarding and homelessness.
