Future Builders – Modules 1 – 4
March 5 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
These 4 modules are designed to provide trustees of VCS organisations in the East Riding of Yorkshire with a solid foundation in the knowledge and skills that they need to be effective in their role. Designed to be undertaken as a set, these modules will be interactive and encourage participants to self-assess both their individual effectiveness and the effectiveness of their board/committee. Both trustees and senior managers are encouraged to attend.
The modules are as follows:
- 5th March – Module One – Introducing the role of trustee
- 12th March – Module Two – Legal structures and charitable status
- 19th March – Module Three – Roles and responsibilities
- 26th March – Module Four – Being effective and developing your board
Each module will take 60-90 minutes depending upon the group and the level of interaction. We are limiting the number of participants in each session, but if we are over-subscribed, we will add more sessions.
East Riding Voluntary Action Services (ERVAS) Ltd and The Two Ridings Community Foundation, have partnered to deliver the Future Builders Project Supported by the East Riding of Yorkshire Future Communities Initiative (facilitated by East Riding of Yorkshire Council) and funded by RWE (via the Goole Fields Wind Farms Community Fund).
