Contextual Safeguarding and Risk Workshop (Bridlington)
January 16, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Humberside Police and the ERSCP are working together to develop support for front line
practitioners who are involved in working with children and young people, their families and the wider
community in response to identified child exploitation, missing episodes and intelligence gathering to
inform disruption. This includes practitioners who undertake return home interviews and safe and
well de-briefs.
Learning Bite Workshops: Young People Contextual Safeguarding and Risk Indicator Tools
The aim of these workshops is to:
1. Enable Practitioners to utilize the child exploitation indicator tool using a contextual safeguarding approach.
2. Gain an understanding of MACE Processes.
3. Assist in identifying what interventions, support services and intelligence gathering is required.
4. Support practitioners to focus on specific child exploitation (CE) evidence, indicators, and vulnerabilities to determine whether further investigations are needed by Children’s Social Care and Humberside Police.
